KEELER
 
John Keeler died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Mary Keeler on East State street, Tuesday morning, at the age of 29 years, after an illness of a number of months. He leaves his mother, and a sister, Miss Alice Keeler. Notice of funeral will be announced later.
KEELER
The funeral of John Keeler occurred Thursday afternoon from the late home on East Eight street near Washington. Rev. E.M. Rose officiated. Mrs. Warren Caffery and Mrs. Harry Vaughn sang several selections. Interment was in the Lockport cemetery.

Late of 802 Jefferson St., Lockport. Died July 10, 1971, Pleasant Center Nursing Home, Joliet. Born in Lockport, December 21, 1880. Daughter of James and Mary Schuler (Keeler). Preceded in death by her husband in 1967. Her parents, one sister, Mrs. Raymond T. (Alice) Parker; one brother, John Keeler. Several cousins survive. Member Holly Camp Royal Neighbors of America No. 246. Services will be held from McPhee Funeral Home, Monday, July 12, 1971 at 2 p.m. Reverend Goerge Moulthrop officiating. Burial in the Lockport City Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.

George Pemberton Passes Away. (1844-1909)

The funeral of George Pemberton took place this afternoon from the home at Ninth and Jefferson streets. Mr. Pemberton was born in England in 1844 and came to Lockport in 1869 where he resided until his death which occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1909. Last week he was stricken with paralysis and never rallied from the attack. The deceased leaves a wife and three daughters: Mrs. H.L. Small of Chicago, Mrs. James Hemphill of Lockport, Mrs. Fred LeGault of Lockport; one step-daughter Mrs. Fred Denick of Lockport; one step son Frank McCudden of Joliet; also two brothers, one sister and eleven grandchildren.

PEMBERTON, Elizabeth SCHULER (1842-1915)

Mrs. Eliza Pemberton, a pioneer resident of Lockport, died at her home on Ninth and Jefferson streets Sunday morning after a several weeks' illness. She was 73 years of age. Mrs. Pemberton was formerly Miss Elizabeth Schuler, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Schuler, and had resided here many years. She was a prominent worker in the Methodist church. The decedent leaves four daughters, Mrs. Fred Denick, Mrs. James Hemphill, Mrs. Fred LeGault, and Mrs. Howard Small; three sisters, Mrs. Felix Donaldson and Mrs. Mary Keeler, and Mrs. John Hills of Pontiac, and a brother, John Schuler of this city. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon from the late home to the Methodist church, Rev. G. F. Courrier officiating. Interment was in the Lockport cemetery.
Mrs. Pemberton was born in Lockport April 11, 1842, and was married Aug. 19, 1862, to Frank McCudden, of Homer, who died in 1866. Two years later the decedent married George Pemberton who passed away a few years ago.

PEMBERTON, Eliza Ann (1889-1904)

Died.
PEMBERTON: At the residence of the parents on Tenth street, Lockport, Wednesday morning, Feb. 24, 1904, at 10 o'clock, Miss Eliza Pemberton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Pemberton, aged 14 years, 1 month, 25 days. The decedent had been ill for about a week with brain fever.
The funeral takes place Saturday afternoon at the house at 2 o'clock and at the M.E. church at 2:30. Burial in the Lockport cemetery.

-DIED-John Pemberton, at his home on Ninth and Jefferson streets, last Monday morning, Feb. 10. The young man had been sick several weeks. He leaves besides his parents, one brother and four sisters. The funeral took place on Wednesday from the M.E. church.

MRS. HILLS DIES IN PONTIAC

  Lockport, Nov. 15.-Ms. Carrie Hills of Pontiac, 66 years old, died this morning in her home after several days’ illness, according to word received by her sister, Mrs. Mary Keeler, Eighth street. Mrs. Hills, who was Miss Carrie Schuler, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Schuler, was born in Lockport and resided here many years.

  She is survived by two sons, Alfred and Harry Hills; a daughter, Mrs. Carrie Hendershot, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Keeler of this city.

  Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Burial will be in the Lockport cemetery.

Funeral of Mrs. Hills.

 The funeral of Mrs. Carrie Hills of Pontiac, formerly of Lockport, will be held tomorrow afternoon. The body will arrive over the Chicago and Alton railroad at 12:38 o'clock and the funeral party will go direct to the Lockport cemetery where burial will be made.

Aged Resident Dies.

  Mrs. Mary A. Keeler, 84 years old, one of the oldest residents of Lockport, died at her home, 802 Jefferson street this morning after a brief illness.

  Mrs. Keeler was born in Lockport on March 3, 1838 [1848] and has resided here ever since.

  She is survived by her two daughters, Miss Julia, of Joliet, and Miss Alice A. of Lockport.

  Funeral services will be held from the home Sunday afternoon with the Rev. William Royston, pastor of the First United Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in the Lockport cemetery.

Died, last evening at 10:40 o'clock, Charles Schuler, one of Lockport's old residents. For over a year Mr. Schuler was a sufferer from dropsy. Funeral Monday afternoon at 2:30 from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. George Pemberton. The latter is a brother of the deceased.

Death of Charles H. Shuler.

  Charles Henry Shuler died last Friday, Dec. 23, 1904, at the residence of his sister, Mrs. George Pemberton, on Ninth street, Lockport, Ill., aged 59 years, 3 months, 7 days. Death resulted from dropsy, after a long period of suffering.

  Mr. Schuler was born Sep. 16, 1845, within a block of the place where his life ended. He was a veteran of the civil war, serving in Co. I, 19^th [9] Ill. Cavalry under Captain H.M. Jenner. Following the war he became a boatman on the I. & M. canal and followed the fortunes of life on the old waterway until his final illness prevented further activity.

  The decedent was never married. He leaves one brother, John Shuler, and four sisters, Mrs. Eliza Pemberton, Mrs. Mary Keeler, Mrs. Agnes Donaldson and Mrs. Carrie Hill, all of Lockport, except the latter, who resides at Pontiac.

  Funeral services were held at the Pemberton residence Sunday, conducted by Rev. R.H. Dolliver, of the M.E. church and interment was in Lockport cemetery.
